We are seeking an electrical engineer for our Atlanta office.
CloudTags is looking for an Electrical/Mechanical engineering student (undergrad or graduate student) based out of our Atlanta office. This individual will spend the majority of his or her time focusing on exploring new ways to apply our conductive “CloudStamps” to different surfaces to create a brand new retail technology.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the exciting space of retail technology and be part of a team of driven, motivated marketing and technology experts looking to help retailers innovate and grow. The role will require you to have excellent interpersonal skills, with the need to adapt to each new client/retail environment’s challenges.
Located at Ponce City Market, in Atlanta, GA, we were founded in 2012 and have raised a Series A in June and have $5M in total funding.
Here's what you'll do
Electrical or mechanical engineering student or recent grad to assist us in fine tuning special conductive objects that work with capacitive touchscreens in retail-ready fixtures for several of our clients. (Note: this project involves working with trade-secret, patented technology, so a non-disclosure agreement is required at interview.)
This is a temporary position, requiring four to six weeks of full or part-time work.
We allow flexible hours to fit with your schedule, at a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Compensation is $15 - $25/hr, depending on experience.
A deep understanding of the engineering principles behind electrical conductivity in different materials and a working knowledge of the latest capacitive touchscreen technology.
Interest and ability to work with your hands and build prototypes, MacGyver style.
